In 2007, I bought two red vinyl 78 speed 12 inch records at a Bakersfield, CA yard sale for 25 cents a piece. Unbeknown to me, they contained historical material from Adlai E. Stevenson's 1952 Democratic Presidential campaign bid. They are now housed at the Smithsonian.
Once Upon a Time, I found one of the worst records ever made, it was 'Little Brother' by Rod Harris. A record so bad and obscure not even Dr. Demento knew of it's existence. After his 1st listen Demento agreed, and called it "A classic "bad record.", one of the worst ever".

1964 proved to be a pivotal year for Reagan, it not only marked the final year he appeared in a feature length motion picture, it was also a notable year for his emerging political career.
While appearing at the 1964 Republican National Convention, Reagan gave his speech titled 'A Time for Choosing' which firmly established Reagan's future in politics. Therefore, the audio endorsement of Murphy by Reagan documents Reagan's early foray into politics.
This vinyl release of the Murphy campaign was recently discovered at a Bakersfield Thrift Store, and upon contacting the Ronald Reagan Library it was found no audio existed in their archive of the recording.
