

FACES ON FILM 'I'll Be Here In The Morning'
Boston based Faces on Film were formed back in 2004 by Mike Fiore and gigged around Boston, New York, and Chicago. Early recordings surfaced in 2005 on the LP 'Seven Sisters' and in 2008 a new line-up of Fiore, David Hinckley, Elio DeLuca, Gavin McCarthy, and Aaron Trail issued Digital Download release 'The Troubles'.

Since his death on New Years Day 1997, cult singer songwriter Townes Van Zandt has gained renewed interest and appreciation. Between 1968 – 1994 he released material on Poppy, Tomarto and Sugar Hill. His material has been covered by the likes of Emmy Lou Harris, Norah Jones, Bob Dylan, The Meat Puppets as well as Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson. In 2006 the documentary Be Here To Love Me: A Film About Townes Van Zandt directed by Margaret Brown was released through Palm Pictures. Recently, Townes' back catalogue was reissued through Fat Possum Records.

Twiggy Frostbite - Grey Rain of Sweden
Sweden act Twiggy Frostbite has its roots in Gävle and shares members with the Deer Tracks and Grizzly Twister. The untamed tones and frosty noise of the northern Swedish coast meet the acustics of the tube and create a dreamlike atmosphere. The debut album “Through Fire” was issued in 2009 on Despotz Records.

Doris Svensson issued her debut solo LP 'Did You Give the World Some Love Today Baby' on Odeon in 1970. The LP sank upon release, it later obtained cult status and was re-release in the mid 90s. Tracks from the LP went onto being sampled in Trip Hop as well as used commercials for IKEA and SOS Children's Villages. According to Wikipedia, Doris is no longer invovled in music and now a nursing/elderly care worker in Göteborg, Sweden.

McCARTHY TRENCHING 'Star of Bethlehem'
McCarthy Trenching aka Dan McCarthy is an artist from Omaha, Nebraska He has toured and opened for the likes of Bright Eyes, M. Ward, Victoria Williams, Jason Isbell, Mark Olson and Peter, Bjorn & John. In 2008 he released 'Calamity Drenching' on Team Love.

Neil Young is an artist that need very little explanation. For a more complete story, check out 'Neil Young Nation: A Quest, An Obsession, and a True Story' by Kevin Chong or the 2006 film 'Neil Young: Heart of Gold'. Star of Bethlehem originally appeared on his 1977 LP 'American Stars 'n Bars' which contained sessions from 1974 – 1977. Sadly, from 1980 the album remained out of print and was not reissued until 2003. The album has gone onto become one of Neil's most impressive mid career works.

Seagull - Southern Butterfly
Seagull hail from Melbourne Australia and were formed by Chris Bolton, a classically trained guitarist. Upon starting as a solo project in 2006, the first Seagull EP was released in 2007 on Two Bright Lakes Records. In 2008 a new line-up recorded the 2008 release 'Goodbye Weather'. The release went onto the obtain entry into several best of the year lists and buzz on the MP3 Blogs.

After serving a short career in the military, Tim Hardin began preforming folk around Greenwich Village and Boston during the early 60's. Earlier interest from Columbia saw Hardin record an LP which was later shelved. In 1965 he moved to California and soon released material on Verve Forecast before later signing back with Columbia. He was known for his erratic stage fright and extensive heroin addiction moving from England to the United States. He made his last studio recordings in 1973 and later died of a morphine overdose in 1980.
